Based in Bristol, ATSS are a small team of highly experienced traffic management and road safety practitioners, with a local government background.

We can provide professional advice and services across a broad range. Our DMRB-qualified safety auditors carry out road safety audits at all stages, for local authorities, developers, and transport consultancies. Specialist audits for pedestrians, cyclists or all non-motorised road users are also available.

Whereas road safety audits deal with changes to the highway, the provision of an independent road safety assessment on the existing highway network, can be a useful tool for local highway authorities and representative groups who either do not have access to the required expertise, or who may require arbitration over road safety issues. The assessment can recommend remedial measures or improvements where appropriate.

Public events, both large and small, will always have an impact on the local highway network, so the local highway authority will require a traffic management plan from the organiser. ATSS can provide a complete TM Plan package for events of any size, and liaise with the local authority on behalf of the organiser.
